We stayed one night with Lowell, Abby and family in Oswego Illinois,
we got to see the new home they are building …very nice! We had Noodles for dinner,
ice creams and a walk along the river in quaint neighboring city of Naperville.

Today we drove to Bloomington Indiana to see the Talcotts at Indiana University.
We stayed with them in their new home, toured the campus and had great pizza at Mama Bears Pizza Parlor.

We are staying at the Sheraton overlooking the Niagara Falls Canada. The
view from our room is spectacular! We took the Maid of the Mist boat up
to the edge of the falls and then went Behind the Falls to look at the
backside of water. It was wet and wild and powerful......
tomorrow we are going on a jet boat ride woo hoo!

Toronto amphibious Hippo Bus Tour, city walk thru the market and up to the top of the
tallest building in the world….then the crazy Blue Man Group concert at night! (we were
third row center and had to wear plastic ponchos to stay dry.) What a show!!!

Niagara Falls music concert and fireworks show overlooking the Falls……..

Hotel de la Montagne is a small luxury hotel located in the very heart of Montreal.
Two white lions stand sentinel at the front door. The lobby is adorned with
6 foot
carved elephants, two gold crocodiles and a female figure with stained glass butterfly
wings atop a fountain. The mezzaine level of the hotel offers the main dining room,
Le Lutetia. Guests can also enjoy light meals beside the pool located roof top on the
twentieth floor of the hotel. Off the lobby, a caberate lounge featuring live music
leads the way to the very well known Thursdays restaurant and bar.
The rooms are a delightfully peaceful contrast to the bustling lobby.

We spent the last 5 days in Canada, camping on the Ottawa river and
river rafting (the pictures and video are on their way in the mail on
DVD), then we visited Montreal for two days, nice hotel with a pool on
the roof top. We spent the day today drive thru Vermont ....toured the
Ben and Jerry Ice Cream Factory and then went to the Vermont Institute of
Natural Sciences and toured the Birds of Prey facility. Owls, eagles, vultures,
hawks and falcons...very interesting. Tomorrow we are off to Boston.

We spent the last two days in Boston; we walked the freedom trail, saw where the Declaration of Independence
was first read to the townspeople of Boston and where Paul Revere hung the lanterns in the steeple to warn
that the British were coming, and saw the Park at Boston Commons….. We ate clam chowder in Quincy
Market and took the trolley tour around town…… Leslie and I went out last night a had Fenway Ale and
dogs behind Fenway Park as the Red Sox played Minnesota…… Today we took the ferry to Cape Cod,
walked around Provincetown where the Pilgrims first landed in 1621. Very fun day!
