Plane: Korea to Japan.... train to Tokyo station... overnight bus to Osaka...
train to Shin-Osaka station (24 hrs of traveling)... crashing at the new hostel on the 10th floor

Lost & Found in Osaka

after all that traveling... i finally found the place... but check in time wasnt till 4pm...
and i was EXHAUSTED... and im on medication to de-india'fy me... and that makes me dizzy and nutz
soooo.... at 6:30am i had to get the dude at the desk to let me check in early... unfortunately...
unlike in India where everything is "yes"even if they dont understand... here... everything is "no"...
finally i convinced him to let me pay for yesterday so i could sleep today :-)

Why don't the vending machines sell water? its all carbonated sugary crap...

to survive this crazy new world ... i am having to pick up a few phrases

"saishokushugi desu... niku wa tabemasen....bejitarian no ryori ga arimasu ka?"
"i am a vegetarian... i dont eat meat... do you have any vegetarian dishes?"

(ultimately the words are quite powerless in the face of meat-a-tarian tradition...but at least im trying)

In the words of AK 1200- "THERE IS HOPE"
i found an ADORABLE little indian style chai shop
granted the inflation is ridiculous... but at least i could breathe...

And this boy.. Mr. Ko... is staying at the new place i moved to called the SUMO

RaNDoM Fact of the Day:
When i was in High School.... i was predicted to marry a sumo wrestler

These are pictures from the SUMO... its cute eh? Last night... i sat on that little
orange wobble stool in the kitchen & cooked myself soy beans...stirring them with a chopstick
and earlier i was laying in this hammock and ate a grapefruit listening to Diana Krall
there is just something sad about a hammock in the city... looking at buildings...

i keep hitting my head... im too tall... check how short the sink is

i lugged all this up narrow stairs surrounded by rice paper walls
it has now become painfully obvious now that I have too much stuff
