WHY DO MOSQUITO BITES ITCH?
well... funny you should ask.... haha
Most people are allergic to the liquid the mosquitos puts under your skin. Only female
mosquitoes bite. When one bites you, she pricks your skin with a long, thin part of her mouth.
Then she sucks some of your blood for food. The mosquito has a special liquid in her mouth to keep
your blood thin and easy to suck. Some of this liquid gets under your skin. It causes the bit to swell
and itch- some people aren't allergic so they dont itch. And other people like ME are allergic to dust
and the bite not only itches from the liquid, it also itches from the mites that get inside the war wound.

IS THERE ANY FISH MORE DANGEROUS THAN A SHARK?

A piranha may be more dangerous than a shark. Although piranhas are small, they have very sharp teeth. These fish travel in schools of thousands and attack all at once. A school of piranhas can eat all the flesh of a big fish, or even a human, in just a few minutes. Piranhas live only in the Amazon region of South America.

WHAT FISH IS THE BIGGEST?

The whale shark is the biggest fish. It can grow up to 59 feet long. And it can weigh up to 15 tons-- more than twice as much as an African Elephant.

WHAT IS AN ADAM'S APPLE?
An Adam's apple is a hard protective covering around the larynx. It looks like a lump bulging out
of a person's neck. The Adam's apple is made of cartilage cells--special bonelike cells that also
make up your ears and the tip of your nose. They say that when Adam, in the Bible, ate the
forbidden apple in the Garden of Eden, a piece of apple got stuck in his throat.
So all people after him had a lump in their throat--the Adam's apple.
